Families reveal hidden highlights of holiday homes

Park Holidays UK handed the microphone to its customers this summer to let them voice their reasons why holiday home ownership has been a life-changing experience.

At the start of the season, the company went out and about on its 26 parks in Southern England with a video camera and notebook to record the candid views of owners.

Now the results can be seen on the group's website where couples and families speak freely about how their lifestyles have been changed so much for the better.

A new-found freedom to enjoy year-round holidays, the chance to spend quality time together, and the ability to instantly switch off from day-to-day stresses all feature.

But so too do the new friendships that have been made, the quality standards of the group's parks, the leisure facilities and entertainment, and the hospitality and professionalism of staff.

Regrets? Just one which occurs as a regular theme: "We only wish we'd done this a lot earlier!"

Park Holidays UK says it has released its video footage and interview reports to help would-be new customers decide if holiday home ownership is right for them.

The group says that interest levels are higher than ever before, thanks to new holiday homes being more affordable and more luxuriously specified than at any point in the past.

At the same time, Park Holidays UK has added a raft of buying incentives, including a "red ticket" summer sale which is seeing substantial discounts across a range of models.

Also available are free pitch-fee offers and other deals, plus a bespoke finance scheme in which preferential interest rates are coupled with low deposits.

Park Holidays UK director Tony Clish says that letting owners talk for themselves is a valuable way to help prospective buyers come to a realistic decision:

"Our customer retention levels are among the highest in the industry, and every year we see many owners trading up to new holiday homes on our parks," said Tony.

"They clearly enjoy the benefits of their lifestyle, and we are keen to ensure that new customers see the wider picture in terms of what our parks are offering.

"Being able to escape regularly to a lovely holiday home obviously plays a major part , but these interviews also throw an interesting light on what else owners regard as important.

"The neighbourly atmosphere, the sense of community, and the chance to strike up new friendships all add to the value of their lifestyle investment," he added.
